I cannot agree with this quote more. It is so critical that students feel confident in their work, whether it need improvements or not. So many teachers in my high school years marked everything that I did wrong and never pointed out what I did right. This turned me into a writer who only wanted to please the teacher instead of myself and it has taken many years to change that perspective of myself as a writer.
